Merger: A Strategy for Nonprofit Sustainability unpacks what nonprofit leaders needs to know about a range of options to restructure organizations. This session addresses how an organization can consider merger, common obstacles and success factors, costs, benefits and risks. The session also covers key elements of the merger process as well as legal and financial considerations. Drawing on hands-on experience, the presenters provide a holistic overview that will help participants prepare for bold discussions, and navigate opportunities and common pitfalls. You’ll complete the course knowing what you can do yourself and where you will need outside support.
This online course uses a case study, small-group discussion and dialogue throughout. The course is designed for CEOs, executive directors and board leaders. The content is relevant to mid-sized, large and small nonprofits in any field of work.
